EGG CASSEROLE for New Year’s Brunch

Egg Casserole
This has been a family favorite for many years.
Serve with fruit and you have an easy meal ready to serve
to family or guests.
Ingredients:
12 slices white bread with crusts removed
6 slices cheddar cheese
1 cup or more chopped ham, chicken, pork, or turkey
4 eggs well beaten
3 cups milk
Salt and pepper as desired
Directions:
Grease 9 x 13 inch pan well.
Add salt and pepper to eggs.
Add 3 cups milk to egg. Beat well.
Put one layer of bread slices in bottom of pan.
Add meat and cheese evenly over bread.
Put a layer of bread over the meat and cheese.
Pour egg/milk mixture over all.
Refrigerate overnight.
Bake uncovered @ 350 for one hour or until fluffy and brown.
Serve with diluted cream of mushroom soup or cheese sauce or whatever sauce you prefer.
